Moon Dental has been placing implants since the 1990s. That is why old implants, implants declared failed, and cases turned away for lack of bone are the most common referrals to our Implant Center — and why patients come from across the country.
Treatment differs completely depending on whether only the screw has loosened or the bone has resorbed. We identify the cause first, and if it can be saved, we do not remove it. When removal is necessary, a remover kit minimises bone loss.
The most common issue with implants from 20–30 years ago. In our in-house lab, we make the parts to fit that implant ourselves. A sound fixture does not have to be removed just because of a part.
We build the bone, then place the implant. Bone grafting and sinus lift create the conditions for placement first. Our system allows an attempt with as little as 3 mm of residual bone.
That is peri-implantitis. We open the gum, disinfect and reinforce the bone — looking first for a way to save it without removal. 30–60 minutes of treatment, 2–3 weeks of recovery.
We proceed while monitoring blood pressure, glucose, ECG and oxygen saturation. After checking your medications, we decide on a safe approach together. Patients with cardiovascular disease or on dialysis can be treated after consultation.
That is fine. A single CT scan tells us which manufacturer it is. With experience across 20+ domestic and imported systems, we can start treatment even without knowing the brand.
With a temporary tooth or temporary denture we restore your appearance the same day. Our in-house lab makes prosthetic work fast.
A needle-free anaesthesia device and a water-droplet laser reduce pain, and with patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) you can adjust pain relief yourself when needed. Flapless placement, with no gum incision, is also possible.

We have worked with both imported and Korean implants. Each brand's parts fit together differently, and we can tell them apart from an X-ray alone.

We do not remove an implant just because the bone has resorbed or it is loose. We first look for ways to restore it, and we have the techniques and equipment to do so.

Bone grafting performed at the same time as extraction, reducing additional surgery. Autologous blood components are used to accelerate bone regeneration.
The bone in the upper back-tooth area is thin because of the maxillary sinus (the air cavity beside the nose). We lift its floor and graft bone. Essential when bone has resorbed after a long time without teeth.
Because it treats the gum with water and laser, there is little heat damage, vibration or noise. Used to disinfect peri-implantitis and remove inflamed tissue.
CBCT and intraoral scan data are overlaid to rehearse the surgery on a computer, then a guide is made so the implant is placed exactly as planned.
We analyse jawbone and nerve condition with X-ray and 3D CT, draw up a treatment plan and explain all costs at this stage.
We check systemic conditions such as blood pressure and diabetes. Blood is drawn to prepare PRF/PRP, and if bone grafting is needed, PDRN and graft material are prepared as well.
A water-droplet laser reduces bleeding and pain. PDRN is applied to the extraction site and sprayed on the implant surface to accelerate osseointegration.
Antibiotics and analgesics are administered, with PCA available on request. Position is confirmed by X-ray right away and a balanced meal is provided.
Disinfection for 2–3 days, sutures removed around day 10. For the next 3–4 months, regular X-rays confirm the bone is integrating well.
The CAD/CAM custom prosthesis made in our in-house lab is fitted, and the bite is adjusted so chewing force is evenly distributed.
Four check-ups and scalings a year plus implant-specific care training (brushing, flossing, water flosser) so your implant lasts 10–20 years or more .
