11F Orthodontics — choose to suit your lifestyle
Orthodontics is not simply about straightening teeth. It is a medical treatment that shapes lifelong chewing, speech, jaw-joint health and facial balance. At Moon Dental's 11F Orthodontics, an orthodontic specialist and board-certified doctor listens carefully to your occupation, daily routine and expectations, then proposes the most suitable appliance and timeline.
Orthodontics is recommended for
- Crooked teeth that make brushing hard and lead to frequent cavities or gum disease
- Protruding front teeth or upper and lower teeth that do not meet properly (malocclusion)
- Chewing only on certain teeth, causing frequent jaw-joint or muscle pain
- Slurred or unclear speech
- Adolescents whose facial asymmetry is worsening
- Space needed before implant or prosthetic treatment
- Excessive gum showing when smiling or awkward tooth proportions

Common · frequently asked questions
Q. Can adults have orthodontic treatment?
Yes. If your gums and periodontal health are good, treatment is possible even in your 50s and 60s, though it may take somewhat longer than for teenagers.
Q. Do teeth have to be extracted for orthodontics?
It depends on the case. After precise diagnosis, non-extraction treatment is chosen where possible; extraction is needed when there is not enough room for the teeth.
Q. How much does it hurt during treatment?
A dull ache may occur for 2–3 days after the appliance is first fitted or adjusted. It is well controlled with painkillers and settles within a week.
Q. Which is better — clear aligners or bracket braces?
It depends on case difficulty, lifestyle and budget. Clear aligners are efficient for simpler cases; brackets are more precise for complex ones. We recommend after precise diagnosis.
Q. Will my teeth move back after treatment?
If you wear your retainer as recommended, relapse is rare. Neglecting the retainer can allow gradual movement, so we recommend lifelong night-time wear.
