DOCTOR Q&A

Frequently Asked

Common questions from patients answered by the doctor.

Q1

Is there anything you would like to say to patients?

Regular check-ups are the foundation of dental care.

It is easy to put off the dentist when nothing bothers you, but checking and caring for your teeth routinely keeps them far longer than treating problems after they appear.

A treated tooth or a restoration is not finished when treatment ends. Checking its condition regularly and making sure daily care is working is essential.

I hope patients think of the dental clinic not as somewhere to go when it hurts, but as a place to keep their teeth healthy for a long time.

Q2

What do you see as Moon Dental's strengths?

To me, Moon Dental's greatest strength is its long clinical experience and the wide range of cases we have seen.

Because every patient's condition and needs differ, being able to draw on broad experience to assess each case is a real help.

That experience helps me, too, when I explain which of several options suits a patient best.

Looking at several possible directions rather than a single method — that is Moon Dental's strength.

Q3

What do prosthodontic patients ask most often?

The most common question is, "Of all these options, which is right for me?"

Even for the same prosthetic treatment, the available options depend on your condition, so I first explain each possible method and its characteristics thoroughly.

Rather than dictating a method, I value the consultation process that helps patients understand their condition and the treatment.

It is important to begin only once you understand why the treatment is needed and are fully comfortable with the direction chosen.

Q4

Any habits to keep — or avoid — for healthy teeth over the long run?

If you tend to clench your teeth, please be mindful of it — repeated clenching strains both teeth and restorations.

For hygiene, I recommend using interdental brushes regularly along with brushing — they clean between the teeth where a toothbrush cannot.

Rather than trying many elaborate methods at once, keeping up the care that you personally need, consistently, matters more.
