DOCTOR Q&A

Frequently Asked

Common questions from patients answered by the doctor.

Q1

Is there anything you would like to say to patients?

Some people know they need dental treatment but put it off because they worry about pain or feel tense in the treatment room.

Easing that burden even a little is part of good treatment. That is why Moon Dental uses topical anesthetic and micro-needles, and keeps a comfortable, calm treatment environment so patients can relax.

Rather than keep postponing needed treatment out of worry, please come and have your current condition checked first.

I do my best to make sure patients feel less burdened and can receive treatment at ease.

Q2

What do you see as Moon Dental's strengths?

To me, our greatest strengths are long clinical experience, care by specialty and our in-house laboratory.

Every patient needs something different, so it helps to have an environment where several specialties can look at a case together when needed, rather than a single viewpoint.

Being able to work with our own laboratory during prosthetic treatment is another advantage.

Long-accumulated experience and a setting where every field works together — that is Moon Dental's strength.

Q3

My tooth is sensitive to cold water after getting a crown — is that normal?

After decay is removed and a new restoration placed, temporary sensitivity can occur while the tooth adjusts.

I tell patients in advance that this discomfort may occur at first. In most cases it fades naturally as the tooth adapts.

Some patients worry because a new restoration feels different at first, but it takes a little time to get used to.

Knowing in advance what changes to expect after treatment can spare you unnecessary worry.

Q4

What should patients remember about care after treatment?

Oral hygiene after treatment matters as much as the treatment itself.

After treatment, please use floss and interdental brushes after meals so no food stays between the teeth. Make a habit of caring for the areas a toothbrush alone cannot reach.

And even if nothing feels wrong, please visit regularly so we can check the treated tooth and the area around it.

The end of treatment is not the end of care — please keep up daily care and regular check-ups.
